On Aug. 29th, Governor of Jiangsu Province, Mr. Xu Kunlin met with Chairman Mr. Yang Weidong and Co-CEO of Energy Transfer, Mr. McCrea in Nanjing.

Governor Mr. Xu Kunlin welcomed the visit of Chairman Mr. Yang Weidong and Co-CEO Mr. McCrea. After the brief introduction about the developing condition of economy and society in Jiangsu, Mr. Xu Kunlin shared that Jiangsu was continually innovating new ways to attract foreign investment and expand Chinese-style modernization by focusing on high-quality development, building a new developing pattern, growing the economy, and building a two-way opening-up hinge with worldwide attraction. He presented that ET and STL both had a good foundation for cooperation with Jiangsu Province, and hoped that both sides could increase their investment in Jiangsu, promote the synergistic interaction of industrial chain and supply chain, deepen cooperation in all areas except for energy transfer, and contribute to achieve higher level in opening-up in Jiangsu. Jiangsu Government would create a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized first-class business environment in a more targeted manner, strengthen the factor guarantee, build a supply and demand platform, and provide quality services for the development of enterprises in Jiangsu.

Vice Governor, Mr. Fang Wei, Provincial Government Secretary-General Mr. Lyu Deming were also in attendance.

In March, 2018, STL partnered with Energy Transfer, the Fortune Global 500 by signing the first ethane PSA between China and the US in the developing history of China’s petroleum and chemical industry as well as the US shale gas revolution, which realized the developing complementary energy resources between two countries, promoted friendly and mutually beneficial trade cooperation between China and the US, and provided a solid guarantee for the stable raw material supply for Lianyungang Project of STL.
